Welcome to Chesney Stables web site, Our riding school was established in 1984 with only couple of ponies and a field. From those humble beginnings we have grown into a well established Riding School, Livery Yard, and RDA (Riding for the Disabled Association ) Centre.
Today we have a varied selection of horses and ponies ideal for beginners and the more experienced alike to ride. So whether you are looking for your first ride or something more advanced our location in the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds will ensure you have a relaxing and fun time at our stables!.

The key to our success is that we provide a complete range of activities to suit all levels of riding abilities, for all ages from 4 years upwards. Our flexible timetable enables you to ride at a time that suits you.
We provide a high standard of tuition on our well mannered horses and ponies, because your safety is paramount. Hat hire is available at no extra cost (if required). No other riding equipment needs to be purchased for you to ride with us., but you will need to complete our Rider registration and Client Acceptance forms BEFORE your lesson. At Chesney we realise that fun is an essential part of learning. We are keen to see progress in our riders, therefore Chesney Stables Equiclub certificates are awarded for each level of riding / stable management achieved. Set your goal and leave the rest to us.
